Headquartered in Schaumburg, Illinois, J-Power USA was established in 2005 and is committed to optimizing energy usage and minimizing environmental impact to create a cleaner, sustainable future.
J-Power’s goal was to implement high quality camera, keycard (access control), and video intercom systems throughout their plant and unifying the entire system into a fully integrated solution. To accomplish this, they looked to Skynet Security for design and implementation. Skynet Security strategically placed high-resolution pan-tilt-zoom and fixed IP cameras throughout J-Power’s plant in order to achieve maximum video coverage. Video intercoms and keycard readers were placed at all entrance and exit points to the plant, allowing for seamless visitor and employee access. Additional keycards were placed on all critical doors within the plant for restricted employee access. Finally, Skynet Security’s seamless integration with the security camera, access control, and video intercom systems provided single platform from which J-Power can manage all systems. Prior to the system integration, event analysis was delayed by as much as 15-20 minutes while the monitoring officers tracked down the needed information from various systems. Now, the integrated system allows for assessment and determinative action within thirty seconds to a minute, providing J-Power with peace of mind that their plants electronic security system is fully efficient and secure.
